Ungar, Jay - Ashokan Farewell (Theme from The Civil War) Violin/Piano

Written in 1982 by Jay Ungar and recorded by his band in 1983, the Ashokan Farewell came to the attention of Ken Burns who used it as the theme to his documentary 'The Civil War' (American), through this it has become a world-wide hit. This special edition of Ashokan Farewell was designed to help violinists emulate Ungar's playing of the piece as heard in 'Civil War'.
